Uxbridge fall to third league defeat

Uxbridge's lacklustre start to the season continued as they went down 3-0 at Harrow Borough on Bank Holiday Monday.

With not much between the sides early on, The Red's were undone by a quick break on the right hand side - clinically finished by Leo Sery on 24 minutes. Uxbridge could have been level soon after, but George Moore's shot went narrowly wide when through one on one with ex - Uxbridge keeper Andrew McCorkell.

After the break Uxbridge pushed for the equaliser, only to be caught out by a long ball over the top which Sery did well to hold off the defender before slotting home for his second. Sery's hat-trick would be complete on 87 minutes when he converted a penalty after a foul on another ex-red Dan Williams.

Uxbridge have a free Saturday next week, and then follow this up with an Isuzu FA Trophy game at home to Phoenix Sports on Saturday 7th September KO 3pm
