Uxbridge's indifferent start to the season was emphatically broken, as they recorded their biggest ever FA Trophy win against Phoenix Sports on Saturday.
The Reds enjoyed plenty of early possession, and took the lead on just 4 minutes when new signing Leo Decabo smashed home from the edge of the box after good work out wide from the returning Andrio Brandao. The lead was doubled on 23 minutes, when Wilson Chingoka's determination saw him finish from a rebound after his initial shot had been saved by Rob Budd in the visitors goal.
HT 2-0
It was after the break however that Uxbridge really exerted their dominance within 4 minutes of the restart Decabo notched his second with another smart finish, before seconds later Alex Witham lobbed Budd from 25 yards with the Phoenix Sports defence in disarray. With heads dropping for the visitors Uxbridge created plenty of chances, and on 63 minutes defender Chad Goulter headed home No.5 from close range. The rout was completed on 72 minutes when defender Aaron Clarke turned into his own net. More chances came and went, but ultimately a fantastic performance to build on - and in the hat for the next round.
