This week's preview takes on a slightly different and unconventional approach for two specific reasons, firstly our resident previewer Michael Bodman is missing in action flailing golf sticks around the links of Scotland (his decision to book this and miss our final two league games is the first item on the agenda at our next committee meeting!) and secondly, if you haven't heard, we are in the Play Offs! Because of this fact all the required information for attending the fixture is given above and frankly who cares what happened for the two teams in their previous fixtures and it also means I don't have to put into words what happened in the corresponding fixture at Honeycroft back in Summer 2024.
What Saturday will be for the first time in a whole season is a chance to watch the Red Army in a competitive fixture with zero anxiety or stress apart from anytime Joe the physio is called into action with his magic sponge. He becomes this week's one to watch!
I am sure Saturday will also see some rotation in the Squad with next Wednesday firmly in mind (a play-off fixture) and this will also provide an opportunity to thank all those players who play a vital role in the success of the team even if not called upon every week. It will also be a chance for the players and staff to thank our magnificent supporters who have travelled in numbers throughout the season.
Westfield v Uxbridge tomorrow will be a rare chance for both sets of supporters to come along enjoy and relax watching their teams and at the final whistle show their appreciation to both sets of players and management staff on successful league seasons, unusual in any division!
For once I am looking forward to it!
Oh, did I mention we are in the Play Offs?
