View from the Board

Firstly, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all back to Honeycroft, on what will be a

very significant day in the long history of the Club.

There can only ever be one initial unveiling of our new pitch and today is that day.

Whilst we still have additional works to complete, the replacement stand and players tunnel primarily, we hope you will feel the same sense of pride as we do in the improved facilities at Honeycroft.

The vision for these works predates my tenure as Chairman and the credit and appreciation for same should be given to both David Tucker and Alan Holloway, who are both sadly no longer with us to witness what we see today, and Roger Stevens our Club President, who all initiated this process many years ago.

My role as Chairman has been to deliver their vision as best I can, and this couldn’t have been done without the remarkable commitment and effort of my committee, all the Club staff and a willing band of volunteers.

I am indebted to each and every one of them, because without them, both what we’ve achieved and what we still plan, would have been unobtainable.

The thought process behind “Uxbridge View” is to provide regular insight into all aspects of Uxbridge Football Club and both I and all associated with the Club will have much more to share in the coming weeks and months.

But today is about those with an attachment and an affinity for the Club taking a pride in what we have all accomplished so far, and this is only the beginning of our vision, both on and off the pitch.

I hope you all enjoy your day with us and will return to do so in the future.

Let’s get behind and support all those representing the team on the pitch and hope for a positive result to start the new era of Uxbridge Football Club.
