Middlesex FA U14's

On Sunday 13th May Sandgate U14's Arrow's travelled to Hanwell Town FC to take on Ashford Town (Middx) in this seasons Middlesex FA U14's Cup Final.

After a bye in the First Round the travelled to Wembley Youth in the second winning the match 2-1, the Third Round saw a local derby away at Sandgate Youth U14s Blades where they ran out convincing winners 12-1, the Fourth Round saw them beat Harrow Stars at home 6-1 with the Quarter Final a 4-0 victory at home to Wealdstone Youth. In the Semi-Final hey took on a rampant Parkfield Youth at home who had beaten Old Isleworthians 10-0 in the previous round, they ran out 5-3 victors.

Todays final was against Ashford Town (Middx) who had gotten their after a 1-0 win away at Harlesden Hawks in the Semi Final. The First Half was a cagey affair with the score remaining goalless. Just after the restart Louie Muldowney put Ashford ahead, 10 minutes later Jack Brett equalises for Sandgate, the game then became stretched with both teams having chances. With the scores level at the end of 90 minutes the match was to be decided by kicks from the penalty mark.

Sandgate went on to win the shoot out 4-2 with goals from Geoffrey Owsu, Jayden St Paul, Leo Sery and Deron Lorainey, Jayden St Paul also went on to collect the Man of the Match award.
